Aleix was born in Barcelona and was raised by his loving parents in Castro Urdiales, a seaport in northern Spain.

A man of Colombian descent, from a very young age Aleix was ostracized by his Biscay born private school contemporaries. This was partially due to the projection of fear from the very own archaic nature of Basque nationalism. During this time, Aleix found comfort and inspiration through iconic and mythological sports figures of the past; in particular, professional wrestlers made him believe in the larger than life capabilities of the human experience.

For his last two years of high school, Aleix enrolled in a public school in his hometown of Castro Urdiales and said goodbye to long bus rides and tight uniforms. His awareness and consciousness developed in a great way thanks to the love for life he shared with his seaport brothers. Through exploration and introspection, Aleix found the art of filmmaking. With that came the clarity and confidence that comes with knowing one’s true life purpose.

In January of 2016, Aleix crossed the Atlantic to attend school at Columbia College Chicago. His fascination for the world of acting and directing did nothing but grow exponentially; Latino as well as American independent film auteurs motivated him to become one with his roots and be proud and honored to be a Spanish-Colombian filmmaker.

Now in 2024, Aleix is currently in the process of post production of his feature film directorial debut, "DEFINE VIDA", an avant garde piece that deals with the creation of one’s ego and the process the artist must go through in order to transmute our spiritual perception into film.
